Fandoms requested: Yet Another Fantasy Gamer Comic, Super Dimension Fortress Macross, Castlevania (Cartoon), The Dragon Prince (Cartoon), What We Do In The Shadows (TV)
Dear Yuletide author!
General stuff: I love the interactions between characters, dialogue, snark, personality clashes, confessions, romance. I love stories where characters come out of the story changed in some way, even if it's a subtle change. I love stories that don't provide oversimplified resolutions to complex situations, where things aren't necessarily all neatly wrapped up at the end - it's okay if everything's not completely resolved and happily ever after, as long as there's some hope for the future. I like fic that challenges traditional gender expectations and roles. I love humour, as highbrow or lowbrow as you like, depending on what suits the story. Please feel free to include other characters from any of these canons in supporting roles, or to make up original characters, whatever works for your story.
While I feel that porn can easily be the meat (heh) of a story, I like it best when it is wrapped in at least a delicate layer of plot, and when I can believe that it's these particular characters having sex. But I really and truly am open to fic of any rating! If you are more of a fade-to-black sort of author, that's fine; if you want to show me non-shippy character interaction - friendship, rivalry, adventure, introspection, found family - that's great too. However, if you do feel inspired to go the more porny route, I love m/m, f/f, m/f, threesomes, foursomes, moresomes, poly relationships of all configurations, bisexuality, kink - and I'm very hard to squick, so don't worry about that. (If you want to read more about my general porny likes/dislikes/ideas, you can get an idea by reading my previous Yuleporn comment although most of the fandoms are different.) Please no non-canon deaths or completely depressing endings, otherwise let your imagination run wild!
All the rest of this is just in case you feel more comfortable writing with some idea or starting point to go on - if you have a different idea than one I've listed here, please go for it. So, on to the specific fandoms!
Yet Another Fantasy Gamer Comic (Lucas, Cadugan)
I'd like something that explores Lucas and Cadugan's gloriously snarky/sweet relationship, or their gradually growing friendship if you want to tackle something from earlier in canon. If you want to just stick to the two of them and the various challenges they face (Lucas's family curse, his obligation to produce an heir, tension between Cadugan's love for the wilderness and castle life, future adventures, etc.), that's great, but feel free to include other characters as well if you want! Whatever ensues, I would prefer for Lucas and Cadugan to ultimately end up together, but if there are emotional complications, arguments, gender-bending, threesomes, that's fine. I love the humour of the comic too, so if you can incorporate any of that flavour, that's great.
Super Dimension Fortress Macross (Max, Milia)
I'd love something about how Max and Milia's relationship develops. They get together so quickly - how does that work out for them in practice? What are some things about human culture that Milia is unfamiliar with and learns about only after she defects and gets together with Max? How does become parents affect them both? If you want to include other characters as well, that's fine!
Castlevania (Cartoon) (Alucard, Sypha, Trevor)
I enjoy Trevor's and Sypha's sassiness, and the banter between them and Alucard is great. The end of season 2 was so sad, and I don't want to leave them like that! So I'm interested in anything that gives them more opportunities to interact together - either to bring them back together, or expand on missing scenes or events in canon. I certainly ship the three of them, but if you want to keep it more general friendship/adventure bros, that's fine as well.
The Dragon Prince (Cartoon) (Viren)
I'm interested in all sorts of possible stories that focus on Viren. I'd love to know about his backstory - his early years, his friendship with Harrow, his marriage, how things ended there and his life as a single father to Soren and Claudia. Or something more recent - did he comfort Harrow after Sarai's death? How did he start to explore dark magic? What do you think will happen with the mirror and Aaravos? I'm open to shippy stories that pair him with adult characters (Viren/his wife, Viren/Harrow, Viren/Harrow/Sarai, Viren/Aaravos).
What We Do In The Shadows (TV) (Lazlo, Nadja, Nandor)
How did these three meet? What made them decide to move in together? I'd love to see them in different time periods - what were things like when they first arrived in America in the 19th century? Going to cool nightclubs in the 1920s with their capes? Blending in with the goth scene in the 1980s? Whatever time period or predicament you want to put them in, I'm here for it.
